PRIVACY POLICY 隐私政策


1. INTRODUCTION 简介

Singapore Buddhist Lodge and its related entities and affiliates (collectively referred to as “SBL”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (“PDPA”) and all applicable regulations and advisory guidelines issued by the Personal Data Protection Commission (“PDPC”).

2. DEFINITIONS 定义

“Personal Data” refers to data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data or from that data and other information accessible to SBL.

“个人资料”是指可单独或结合其他信息识别个人身份的任何资料，不论其是否真实。

3. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA 个人资料的收集

SBL may collect personal data from you through various means, including forms, registrations, donations, events, employment processes, or interactions with us.
The types of personal data collected may include:.
  • Full name
  • Contact details (address, phone, email)
  • Identification information (e.g., NRIC/passport)*
  • Financial or donation-related information
  • Images, photographs, and CCTV recordings
  • Any other information provided by you
SBL will only collect personal data that is reasonably necessary for our operational or legal purposes.

Important:
SBL will collect NRIC or other identification numbers only where:
  • Required by law; or
  • Necessary to accurately establish or verify an individual’s identity

4. PURPOSES OF COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE 资料使用目的

Processing enquiries, registrations and requests
  • Administering membership, volunteer and donor relationships
  • Organising religious, charitable and community activities
  • Communicating updates, events and programmes
  • Compliance with legal or regulatory requirements
  • Internal administrative, audit and risk management purposes
  • Any other purposes which we have notified you of at the time of collection or for which consent has been obtained
居士林收集、使用及披露个人资料的目的包括：
  • 处理查询、注册和请求

6. ACCESS AND CORRECTION 查询与更正

You have the right to:
  • Request access to your personal data held by us
  • Request correction of any inaccurate data
SBL will respond within a reasonable timeframe. An administrative fee may apply where permitted by law.

7. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA 资料保护

SBL implements reasonable administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect personal data, including:

8. USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS & CCTV 摄影与闭路电视

SBL may take photographs and videos during programmes and events for documentation, publicity and archival purposes.

CCTV systems may be installed at SBL premises for safety, security and operational purposes.

By entering SBL premises or participating in activities, you acknowledge such collection.

居士林可能在活动中拍摄照片及录像，用于记录、宣传及存档。

9. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA 资料披露

SBL may disclose personal data to:
  • Service providers and contractors
  • Professional advisers (e.g., auditors, legal)
  • Government authorities where required by law
All disclosures will be made only for legitimate purposes and subject to confidentiality obligations.

居士林可能向以下单位披露个人资料：

10. RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA 保留期限

SBL will retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required under applicable laws.

Data no longer required will be securely destroyed or anonymised.

居士林仅在必要期限内保留个人资料，以满足收集目的或法律要求。

不再需要的数据将被安全销毁或匿名化。

11. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA 跨境转移

Where personal data is transferred outside Singapore, SBL will ensure that the receiving organisation provides a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.

12. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION 数据泄露通知

In the event of a data breach that is required to be reported under the PDPA, SBL will notify the PDPC and affected individuals in accordance with applicable laws.

We will take reasonable steps to mitigate and prevent recurrence.

若发生需上报的资料泄露事件，居士林将按PDPA规定通知PDPC及相关个人。

我们将采取措施减轻影响并防止再次发生。

13. WITHDRAWAL OF CONSENT 撤回同意

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. SBL will inform you of the consequences of withdrawal and will cease the use of your personal data where required.

您可随时联系我们撤回同意。居士林将说明影响，并在适当情况下停止使用您的资料。

14. ACCOUNTABILITY 问责与数据保护官

SBL has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for ensuring compliance with the PDPA.
